The Desert Life Luxury Safari is the perfect tour for those looking to maximise their time in the desert by getting a taste of everything Wonbin Safari has to offer. Over 2 full days and 2 nights you will enjoy a full Thar desert experience.
The Desert Life Luxury Safari begins promptly at 2:00pm, with either a Jeep pickup from a scheduled destination or Jeep pickup service from the hostel. With the help of our team, you will enjoy a beautiful Jeep Safari through the dunes of the notorious Rajasthani Thar Desert.
On the way, the safari includes a visit to a local village, where you will get a glimpse of desert village life and learn some history of the people that call this region home. Next, you will arrive at a state-of-the-art camping area via camel ride. With the opportunity to capture the mesmerising views of the red sunset from the desert atop a camel, we are confident this is an experience you will never forget. With snacks and water available, it will take us approximately 40 minutes to get to our camping area. Upon arrival, you will greet our team, who are ready to answer any questions you may have.
Our team has a few surprises at the camp area for you all! With typical Rajasthani dishes cooked over a large campfire, you can enjoy a delicious meal sitting in the open desert. Then overnight, you will sleep under the open sky, looking up at a sky full of stars that can only be seen deep in the Thar desert. The following day, you will enjoy a tasty breakfast and some time to relax and explore the open desert.
The second day includes your choice of, another trek through the Thar by camel, a jeep safari through the dunes, an opportunity to visit important monuments and places historically significant to the Rajasthani people, or a combination of all three. Working with the staff here at Wonbin, we are glad to help create your own desert adventure that caters to your liking.
Then in the evening, after a traditional Tika & Aarti welcome with refreshing drinks and tasty snacks, you will witness the spectacle of an extraordinary cultural program. In these cultural programs, you will observe folk dances and traditional singing, getting a true taste and appreciation for Rajasthani culture. The performances include men and women with gorgeous colourful clothes presenting folk and gypsy dances and singing songs that date back generations. Following the performances, we will enjoy a delicious buffet offering a wide variety of Rajasthani dishes. Overnight, you will sleep in a cosy and comfortable swiss tent, able to look up at a sky full of stars that can only be seen deep in the Thar desert. The following day, you will enjoy a tasty breakfast, and our team will transport you back to Jaisalmer around 11:00 am with bellies and hearts full of good food and fantastic memories.
